Privacy Policy
Last updated: 28 September 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Adedolapo Osuntuyi (“I”, “me”, “my”) collects, uses, and protects personal information when you visit adedolapoosuntuyi.com (the “Website”). I handle your information in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 and, where it applies to visitors from the UK or European Union, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
1. Who is responsible for your information
The data controller is Adedolapo Osuntuyi. For any privacy question or request, contact hello@adedolapoosuntuyi.com.
2. What information I collect
Information you give me:
- Contact form: first name, last name, email address, subject, and message.
- Newsletter sign-up: your first name and email address, if you choose to subscribe.
- Emails you send to the addresses listed on the Contact page.
Information collected automatically:
- Cookies: essential cookies make the Website work and remember your cookie choices. Optional cookies (such as analytics) are only set if you accept them in the cookie banner.
- Technical data: my hosting provider keeps server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited, date and time) for security and performance.
- Visitor statistics: I use Burst Statistics, a privacy-friendly analytics tool that runs on this Website’s own server, to count visits and see which pages are read. This data is not shared with third parties.
3. How I use your information
- To reply to your enquiry about speaking, media, partnerships, or general questions.
- To send updates you have subscribed to (you can unsubscribe at any time).
- To keep the Website secure and working properly.
Legal basis: your consent (contact form consent box, newsletter sign-up, optional cookies) and my legitimate interest in running a secure website and responding to messages. I do not sell your personal information, and I do not use it for automated decision-making.
4. Who I share it with
Only with service providers who help run the Website, and only as needed: my web hosting provider (which stores the Website and form submissions) and my email provider (which delivers messages). Some providers may store data outside Nigeria; where that happens, I rely on providers that offer appropriate safeguards.
5. Embedded content and external links
Some pages include content or links from other websites (for example YouTube, Instagram, Amazon, Facebook, LinkedIn, news websites, and Gravatar profile images). These websites may collect data about you under their own privacy policies.
6. How long I keep your information
- Enquiries: up to 24 months after our last contact, then deleted.
- Newsletter: until you unsubscribe.
- Cookies: as described in the cookie banner; you can change your choices at any time.
7. Your rights
You have the right to access the personal information I hold about you; ask me to correct or delete it; withdraw consent at any time; object to or restrict certain processing; and request a copy of your data in a portable format. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@adedolapoosuntuyi.com. I will respond within 30 days. If you are unhappy with how your information has been handled, you can complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC), or to your local data protection authority if you are in the UK or EU.
8. Cookies
You can accept, reject, or customise optional cookies through the cookie banner, and change your choice later using the cookie icon at the bottom of every page. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, although some parts of the Website may not work as intended.
9. Security
I use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, however.
10. Children
This Website is intended for adults. I do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you believe a child has sent me personal information, please contact me and I will delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
I may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated.
